abandon or abort the baby?

In most countries, especially those that belong in the third world, life is harsh..There are cases that when a family is striving hard for survival, and has unwanted pregnancy, the mom decides to abort the baby or abandon it..In you opinion, which of the two is less harsh, abort the baby so he/she will never experience the harshness of life? or abandon him/her after birth, maybe some god hearted person will found him and give him what he needs in order to survive?

in my own opinion both are criminal act. the actor here is the baby and the villain is the mother. if harshness of life is the main problem she should seeked guidance and enlightenment what is the best for the innocent child. there are couples who are childless who are very much willing to take or adopt a child and consider their own.
