Just English and Mandarin for me. And a smattering of the local dialect. Oh you just made me feel so ashamed. :P

I only know two languages to speak, english and tagalog. But I have some words learned from Japanese language. I never meant to learn them, it's just that I usually hear it from my relatives who communicate with such language. It's just some simple words like "Moshi moshi" which is a simple hello in English. If I would have an opportunity to learn more I would love to learn them.

There are mine: English, German (although I'm a former philologist, I've studied German and Germanistic I have forgotten a lot. You forget a language when you do not use it. I wish there were other myLot for German speakers, LOL!), Finnish (almost every Estonian speaks it, at least he understands!), Russian, and of course, my native language Estonian.

I am not multi-lingual really ... talk English only ... except for sometimes my partner says I talk "left handed" or "gibberish" if I am on holidays and have a couple of ales with my mates. My parents emigrated to Australia before I was born ... they both spoke several languages but when they came here they decided the family would talk English. So none of the children learnt any language other than English. Good move back then because of the stigma attached to new arrivals in this country .. but it would have been good to have another language under my belt.

I know English and am learning Spanish. A great way to learn a language is to meet up with native speakers. www.spanglish.ie has lots of members from around the world. You can find Spanish speakers, and other language speakers near you and arrange to meet up.
