Opening lots of website at the same time....

the ability for the computer to open several windows within the desktop and the opening of many windows or websites during internet browsing solely depends on your RAM (random access memory). if you greater RAM, the better, your computer runs smoothly regardless of the number of websites you will surf. My computer has 256MB RAM and its doing well when i am opening many windows at the same time. If you have 516 MB RAM or greater so much the better. one thing more, computer runs slower when you use dial up connection compared to dsl or broadband.

It can slow down ur internet experience but i doubt if it will do anything to ur comp!

ya,u can normally u can access upto 7 programs.all os support min.level of multitasking enviornment,so go ahead. and also ram determines the access time,transfer time on ur computer ,more ur ram more u can workout!

Most computers now should be able to handle three or four opened programmes at once. If you have an old computer with a low memory it might struggle to open lots of pages and might eventually crash. Then you would have to switch it off and restart it.
