Yes, Singlish, has been created by us singaporeans. It's not much of considered as a language, but probably an accent of speaking English. I've done a bit of research, and found out that there are also things like Manglish and Tinglish. English, as a universal language had been edited to different forms. Likewise for some other languages too, one of which is Chinese. But people are mocking and laughing at us Singaporeans for speaking broken and poor english. Likewise doesn't seem to have been done to to chinese. Us plenty Singaporeans are not understood by many foreigners. Problems arise. Communication will be a problem factor for many tourists. Is there any other languages that anyone knows that have been in the same situation too? Can Singlish be eliminated, since its much easier to govern and manage the people in a small country like Singapore? Should tourists learn Singlish too? but it may affect their way of speaking english! Probably this topic have been discussed plenty on many other sites. But i feel that this topic have to be brought to the attention to many others from many other countries. Many don't have understanding to Singlish, and often tend to misundertand Singaporeans. Share your views on this topic. Comments and thoughts shared are very much appreciated.

Singlish is a good way to bond us Singaporeans :) Every English speaking country has their own slang, so I don't think it is wrong for us to have our own slangs as well. This also happens to other languages. For example, look at Mandarin. The Mandarin spoken in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore all have their differences.

Singlish isn't well understood betweeen many worldwide. Although the differences are there, i think Singlish, is too different from English itself. Grammar itself is all wrong
