Confusing weight loss and gain

I have no idea why this is happening to me, but I find that I tend to loose weight when I'm eating a lot of junk food such as cookies, ice cream, and candy. When I'm eating healthier foods such as whole grains, fruits, chicken, turkey, and cheese, then I tend to gain weight. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening to me? It certainly doesn't help encourage me to eat healthy.

I have one possible theory, but you'd have to look at your eating patterns to see if it applies to you. People seem to eat less if they eat a single food, versus eating several items at once. So you may actually be eating fewer calories that way (not as healthy of calories, though...lol)

I think most of the time I tend to eat single foods whether they are healthy or not.

I don't know if this will help, but when I try to diet I seem to gain weight also. I think for me, when I start to think about what I have to eat and when I have to eat it I eat more. I also feel so unsatisfied by diet food.

I can't tell you why it is happening to you but I wish it would happen to me, I would love that... :)
