no this is not a good thing a person who has done its school education should be admitted to college without any further test or interview

i think what you mean is to give a fair chance to everyone to enter college. Sometimes students are more serious in college than in high school i know and that's the reason they are sometimes likely to have low grades.

well here in India entrance exams play a considerable role in choosing one career and his/her admission into college.. there are national level exams and state level exams..but here every college or university don't have seperate exams for admissions...admissions are done on the basis of marks scored in the state or national level exams..

wowwwwwwwwwwwww that's great. That should be what we have to follow. And i am hoping that Colleges and University should stictly put this in their rules and regulations.

For me that's okay. The national government gave entrance examination to gauge if high school are really effective. And make also recommendation to the college applicants what courses are applicable to them based on the said exam. While the college and university conducted another exam to gauge the students academic aptitude.Hope my opinion helps you.

ok, i will tell you that in china the entrance examination in nation level is very important.we have more than 3,000,000 student take part in the same examination in July.It's a pained thing.
