I always listen to my friends problems ive never been the sort of person to talk about my own to them.Listening to peoples problems is being a good friend but sometimes i wonder do people do it so that it makes them a good person?
I think that maybe giving blood does make me feel a little better about myself but im glad that i can help people also.
What about these people who risk there lifes to save other people?is it because they wouldnt be able to live with the guilt if they didnt do something or would it just be automatic without even thinking about anything else?
I cant see people standing there while someones dying or something and then thinking to thereselves oh i better do something or i will feel guilty!
Im confused lol
Would it make someone selfish if they was scared of dying and just stood there while someone was trapped inside a buring building?
Either way you can say that that person is selfish. There either selfish because they havent done anything or they are selfish because they thought if they didnt do anything then theyd feel guilty.
sorry im blabbing on lol

I think it has alot to do with our ego sometimes. I have had many relationships and the ones that I went through, I wanted them to last. I wanted to make it all work out one way or another. I didn't want to go through meeting someone new and going through it again. After time has wentby and I look back on those relationships, I think the main feeling that I got from it weas rejection. None of us want to be or feel rejected. It really had nothing to do with my ego, but everything to do with my self esteem. I think all of us can feed our own ego, but none of us can fix the feeling we get when we are rejected.

I do believe that we are all selfish to an extent . Some people would not display as many symptoms of selfishness as others but we all have selfishness in us .
I believe it is hard to let go but not as much for selfish reasons as for the pain we feel when we lose someone we care about very much in life and don't know how to handle the situation . Love hurts us all and it takes time to be able to let go of the hurt and pain we feel inside but I wouldn't consider this selfishness unless we are being petty about things .
