i will share to you some tips on how to get attention from members to respond to your discussions. these may help you in anyway.
1. real, concrete and sensual topics are more attention-getting than hypothetical, abstract or mental ones.
2. think of topics or things that are recent, immediate. you may refer to your respondents answers and follow them up.
3. draw topics that are familiar, new and different or have unusual information.
4. once in a while make funny posts, for sure someone would respond.
5. most members here nearly always pay attention to matters that affect their HEALTH, REPUTATION, PROPERTY and EMPLOYMENT or MONEY MAKING PROGRAMS.

Sounds great, for awhile that i've been here I notice that people really are very responsive when you talk to them anything that matters money.
I will sure apply your thoughts. Thanks for that Ryan.

I don't know that there is any ONE "secret" here... usually it's just a combination of things.
A good friends list helps. Doesn't have to be a LARGE friends list, as long as the people on it are generally ACTIVE members who both post discussions and responses. Sometimes a list of 60 really "good" friends will be better to you than a list of 600 "random" people.
Respond to other people's discussions, and especially respond to high quality discussions by people who post a lot.
More than almost any other site, this is a GLOBAL community. When you post discussions, post topics about things EVERYONE thinks about: Family, relationships, where you go on holiday.
For the most part, avoid discussions "about myLot." Yes, "everybody" does care, but questions like "how do I make more money?" have already been asked 5000 times, so unless you have a completely NEW thing to share, most people will just pass by the discussion.
Be careful with posts about politics or religion. Whereas they tend to get large numbers of responses, you'll also tend to get "-" marks from almost everyone who disagrees with your point of view. Whereas that's a little sad and narrow-minded, it's none-the-less true.

You are very right, as time goes on I realized that having the right friends here in mylot help a lot.
I have a number of friends here but so far, not most of them respond to my discussions. Maybe some are not that active.
I just realized that the best discussion that attracts more attention pertains to real life drama. So I end up participating in those discussions as well.
Thank you so much for responding.

There is no secret.
Having a lot of friends helps.
It all depends on when the discussion was posted, because people see them more around certain times than others.
It also depends on the conflict and sub-conversation within the discussion. More people come in when there is name-calling or good debates and topics to defend.
The content of the discussion also makes a difference. If its something no one feels strongly about, they won't respond to it.
Really, these are just theories. :)

Ok at least hope is still there. I just hope I get more friends who are really an active here. Because I beleive more often, I'd squeeze my head for a very good discussion and don't come up with anymore comments.
Thanks for the thought littlemissmistress.
