Do you leave your computer on all time? Or do you shut it down completely when you are finished? Is there any rhyme or reason why should shut them off after use? Same goes for leaving it on Why should do or not do either one Wendy

When I'm done, I put it on standby . . . If The winds are high (which happens alot around here, in the winter we can be without power more then we are with it.) Then I shut it down all the way.

I have to agree with that logic as well We get major storms here too and have even unplugged it from time to time Also disconnect when we go away Thanks for posting Wendy

I leave the computer on in most time I use it. I shut it down completely only when I`m going to sleep. But if I have to download something big I leave it on and I go to my bad. There is no problem.

We leave ours on all the time. We do everything on the computer from ordering groceries (helps when you have a budget), paying bills, working, If we turned it off every time we finished we would be turning them back on and waiting for them to boot at least 20 times a day! LOL

I leave all my computers on all the time. My puters run software that does something for cancer research, so the longer they are on the more they process.
