do you shampoo everyday?

I don't shampoo everyday because since I was a kid my mother said it' s not good for the hair. She was right because I used to have my hair below my waist until the age of 16. Black, shiny and thick. And she always kept it braided or in a pony tail. Because too much wind and dust damages the hair and for tidiness also. Maybe one day, I'll upload my old photo with my long hair.(^^,LOL^^,) I don't keep them that long anymore now, shoulder length only. Still, I don't shampoo everyday. Every other day will do. I use shampoo twice in a week.Naturally my hair looks shiny and iam aware that shampoos are detergent based.My mom always advises me not to use shampoo bcoz it can make our hair grey at a early stage and stress using home made powder.I know its good to use that powder but generally hate to apply it as it causes irritation in eyes and needs lot of water to wash the hair to remove the powder.

I have to wash my hair every day. I I dont it gets so greesy it is disgusting. he only time I will not wash my hair is on the weekends when I am not going anywhere to let the natural oils work through my hair to keep the shine and luster. During the week I have to shower every day.

i do not shampoo everyday because if i do my hair then gets too dry and flaky. i hate to shampoo everyday too becayse it leaves my hair lifeless and dull. i do it every other day. i do use conditioner everyday however.

I dont do it everyday either.. But my step daughter and her children do and they have beauiful hair.

I wash my hair every other day, if I wash it every day, my scalp gets all dry and that's not nice.

I don't either for the same reason. I usually shampoo every other day and I use conditioner. My hair is in pretty good health.

If you wash your hair everyday or too often then you actually over stimulate the oils in your hair and that is why people who wash their hair everyday end up with it so greasy. I have naturally dry hair and find that my hair actually sits better after 2 days of not being washed and find I have to wash it first through use of product than build up of grease.

I shampoo most everytime that I shower, it is just part of my cleansing routine... If my body is clean I should also want my hair to be clean - it gets dust blown into it from the air outside and pollen and such too - I want to get it clean and to smell nice when I shower.

I don't have any good reason but I shampoo my hair every alternate day.

I usually shower every other day (sometimes less on weekends), but it does NOTHING to make my hair less greasy, unfortunately. I've been told that if you shower less your hair will become accustomed to being washed less and it won't get greasy as fast. I wish! Within hours of showering I can notice a difference in my hair. I also can't shower at night, it has to be in the morning. Even if I shower right before bed, I wake up with a greasy head.

same here.. I only shampoo once a week.. then the rest, I use conditioner,, hehe!!

My hairstyle back in high school was very short. I didn't know anything about how to have a great hairstyle. One time I just told the hairstylist just cut it it doesn't matter how short it will get. It was short all the time because I didn't know how to manage my hair. And nobody showed me anything about how to have a great hair,well in school i have shorts hair but looks sexy and now in college i had long hair for long time now again i cut its down to short
