Ever Get Those "Please forward to at least 10 friends or you'll have bad luck.."

Don't you just hate them chain letter emails you get? I mean I get them 24/7 and it's kind of annoying ain't it? I mean, I do agree that some of the messages are nice or sweet but I especially hate those type of religious emails because they usually have a nice message to it, but when you scroll at the bottom of the email, they tell you that you have to send it to 10 people within the hour and you're most desired wish will come true or sometimes they even make you feel guilty by saying that don't be ashamed to send this out to all the people you know. Why do I have to do that? Can't I just keep the email for myself? Why do they have to make me feel guilty? That ain't right is it? I guess, it's only right to distribute the nice message around the net but as for me, I don't even bother. If I like the message, I might keep it but other than that, I delete it right after reading it, if it was even worth reading. I just think it's ridiculous how rampant these chain letters are but then again, if people didn't forward it, then I would not have gotten the wonderful ones I've kept so far.

During the first few times I receive those chain emails, I tried to forward it thinking that the promises or "punishment" given would come true. It is okay if you only forward it to 1-3 people, but 10? One chain email said that if you send it to your 10 friends you're going to have what you wish for in the next 24 hours, if not you'll be hounded by bad luck for ten years, something like that. I did what I'm told, but I didn't get my wish within 24 hours or even beyond that. I guess you know what I did next.

Yeah, I think I got those same emails, but I never really believed in them. I just don't know how you can get a wish granted or have bad luck just by sending emails.

I know what you meant, most of the time I just deleted them. Because sometimes it's just a tricky way to get people emails for the interest of commercial or promotional stuff. Normally, after I got those chain emails, it will be followed with tonz of commercial and junk mail. I never give my email adress to unknown, so it must be from those chain emails that my friends forwarded to me that included my email adress plus 9 emails from other friends of hers. So, as you said if it has wonderful words, I'll keep them as well but not forward them the way chain emails wanted. And the rest, I'll just deleted them.
