I work in the government here in delhi. It was during the early years of my job when i was night duty. although i heard many people telling different stories or their wierd personal experiences i never believed about hauted places untill i literally noticed myself during those night duty days. there is table tennis table in the open area near the lifts on the 5th floor when people freak out during lunch break. just a few rooms away was our night duty office room. one night when i woke up to loo i heard like someone was playing table tennis. but as i reached to check out the sound always stopped with noone there. Eversense then I had been periodically looking for answers. From what I can tell, few know of this spirit and it is not bound to any physical location.
do you know any places that you have investigated to identify interesting Haunted Houses and other haunted locations. Can you tell a unique and unpublished true ghost story? what are your personal experiences with haunted houses so that it can help discover new stories and locations to investigate..

I too work for the government as a field engineer and have to go to remote places for inspection. There was this one place where i was to be sheltered in the local guest house. As I mentioned the fact to the locals there they all advised me to stay off that place. A senior of mine had run away from that place in banian and lungi..so terrified he was.
A young man that i am.. I decided to throw caution to the winds and indeed go the guest house.
Nothing happened for the first few hours. It was at about midnight that slowly some mysterious sound started emanating from some corner of the house. In a deep sleep that i was i thought it was some insect or some bird...later the noise grew and seriously terrified me.. Taking the names of all the gods I knew I started walking towards the area from the sound was coming...the bathroom. I opened the door of the bathroom and lit my torch..
It was then that I found out the truth.. it was the backpressure acting on the pipes of the bathroom.. and that made some weird noises.. so much for my senior who had run away.. last heard he had gone for some long pilgrimage!!!

is the guest house a safe place now? have you clarified the reason behind the weird noises to the localites?

In fact I did.. I made the watchman go around the place with me.. got a plumber and reworked the whole piping.. The place looks far brighter now..

wow, I do not believe in spiritsa but your thread was so interesting, I couldn't resist reading it. Have you heard about chand biwi ka makbara or something like that with the name. In ahmednagar same thing is said about an old palace and from that palace you can see the residence of the beloved of the king and they say everynioght she used to come and pay visit to the king. and she is till said to come and visit him everyninght many people claim to have heard of the noise of her payal in the night.

even i didnt believe untill i faced the wierd situation during my nightduty hours. and even the guards told many such experiences. one guard was on his way to night duty and a lady asked him for lift till the end of the road near the office. as a good gesture he did and after few seconds of driving he felt the vehicle wasnt moving only to turn around and see the legs of the lady strenched far were dragging on the road. the guard just left all and ran till the office fully drenched in sweat.
the makbara you are saying is the tomb of Auranzeb's wife in Aurangabad. but i never go through any weird stories going round the place. Ahmednagar has rich historical impotance with many kings ruling there. which palace are you taking about?
