Have you ever used the self-checkout, bought an item and KNOW you put it in the bag, but when you got home, it was gone? That just happened to me right now. I KNOW I put this item in the bag and the bag is weighed by the machine. So, I wonder what happened to it? It's too late to go back and look at for it at the store as I went to another store and then back to home.

I looked all over the car and couldn't find it. I had even bought an ice-cream sandwich and put it ontop of the one bag that I put everything in. I sat in the car and ate it and I swear I saw the item in the bag. It has to be in the car, but I can't find it. So, maybe I was imagining things and only thought I put it in the bag.

I refuse to use those there is always someone hanging over shoulder i feel like they think i am stealing from them or trying to manipulate the machine. I prefer to use a teller as they are alwasy great and freindly. I have even gone to the point of telling stores adn shops i will not use the self checkout and if they get rid of tellers then will not shop there.

I feel OK with it. No one was standing over my shoulder, though a lady walked up right after I was done. I had a funny feeling when I left like someone wanted to tell me something. But, I just thought it was all in my head.

There was someone there watching everyone doing the self-checkout, but they weren't looking over my shoulder.

Yes that has happen to me several times, Just go to the store, and tell them, you didn't have you product. show them the reciept. In am sure the will let you get another one, customer is always right, they want to please their customers.

Yeah, I thought about that, but didn't think they would believe my story and didn't think it was worth the effort. I haven't had it happen again. One would think I was more likely to forget to scan an item than to forget take an item that I had already scanned, but that hasn't happened to me, either.

Sorry to hear about your loss , yes many a times
I have faced the same problem in my life.
The last one was a disastar , i bought a new mobile
phone from a near by store, when the shopkeeper was
packing it for me, i got a call in my older one and
due to some network problem i had to step out, while
the call i took the package and started my journey
back , on reaching home i was perlplexed to see a
different mobile all together, i rushed back to the
store only to find that i have lost 3000 bucks in
he total transaction, and now i am using an inferior
quality mobile after paying a lot.

Wow, thanks for your answer. Goes to show you that someone always has it worse than I do. That surely was a disaster. My item was real small and I can go back and get another one in a couple of days.
