My friend was down with fever and he keeps on drinking herbal medicines than drugs sold in the pharnacy. He believes that drugs from the pharmaceutical companies had a side effects reason he advised me not to take such drugs. What do you think we should take herbal or pharmaceutical drugs?

Majority of medicines are derived from plants or plant like forms. They're only clear differences are the differring forms of packaging - tablets, capsules, etc. in comparison to actual barks, leaves, roots etc. It is the chemical composition that these plants gives off that particularly provides the healing effect of it that is practically being extracted & that is being distributed as medicines we commonly see. The level of tolerance in its potency for both varies from individual. One might have half a kilo of certain leaf for use, wherein with the same basic component extraction can be provided by 200mg of the same on a generic medicine.
But whatever the situations its best evaluated by a professional licensed medical practitioner than to chance of self wizardry, consequences may be fatal.

Synthetic medicines often have side effects meaning to say that while it cures your certain illness on the other hand it damages some part of our body. In addition to that, you can't just take it as you do in herbal because you might be overdosed without proper instruction from professional health practitioners such as pharmacists, nurses, and doctors. Without proper prescription synthetic medicines could be life threatening.
I guess herbal medicine is more safe and effective without harmful ingredients that could trigger some weak part of our body system.
