Clonazapam has a half-life of approximately 35 hours. So, 35 hours after his last dose, half of the medication would be out of his system. This would continue to decrease by 50% of the remaining amount for the next 35 hour increments. After 6 days, the medication should be completely out of his system. I hope this helps you. Good luck to you and your husband!
By the way, welcome to mylot!

Geeze, sounds like quitting smoking system. I remember quiting and I'm never going back to that. I will talk to my doctor about the best ways to decrement my clonazepam before I totally go off of it.
I think anyone who is taking medication should always consult with their doctor first before doing anything.
How do you know about Clonazepam? Is someone taking it in your family?

That's rather interesting. When did he stop taking it? It may be well a side effect that is causing him to be depressed after being off of it. I know myself I do take Clonazepam for my anxiety and I have not gone off it, but If i miss a dose, I get sweaty, nervous, frustrated, irate and irritable.
Please respond, I would like to know when he got off it? and for how long period of time?
