How do you come up with different ideas for dinner?

Hi. I am having a problem coming up with different ideas for Dinner! Sure..I can think of some, but they are all really expensive. As I have a husband, 2 teenage boys and a 9 year old boy, my grocery bill can be quite high. I am just curious if you all have a plan that you follow for meals? Does your spouse or family help you decide what to shop for and then cook? I need ideas! Thanks!

I have the same problem. I have thought about getting my cookbooks and recipes out so that I can figure out some new things to cook. I also look at websites that have recipes. I make some sweet pork chops that my family loves and they are so simple. I would like to have them again but we have them a lot.

I just flip through the pages of one of those encyclopedia cookbooks.
You never know what page you might land on that could spark some sort of idea for dinner.
