This past winter, I, for the frst time in life, had to go without a job, without, utlities, with no viable means of making money, no way of knowing how I was going to eat my next meal. It was a situation I never thought I would have to face in life. Just a few years ago I was a pharmaceutical sales rep, making six figures with no a care in the world. Years later I was jobless, peniless, and stung out on crack. I was pitiful. To top it all off, everyone of my "friends" disappeared. Except for one that is. That was Jesus. I had forgotten how truly great the Lord is. I had forgotten about him being your one and only true friend. As I went through this winter, you better believe I called on Jesus regularly for help. For food, for a warm place to sleep, for warm clothing, etc. After all of the years of neglecting to give our Lord and saviour all the glory, he was still there for me. Never missed a beat. When I came out of this winter, into the spring, I made the decision to make Jesus my frien for life, just as he had me me his for all of my life.
Today, i was baptized. I have been drug free for the majority of this year. I am finding job opportunities regularly. It's as if I woke up from experiencing a bad nightmare

This reminds me of the old saying ...
"When the student is ready ... the teacher will appear".
There are many many more people who were and are in the same conditions you found yourself both times... before when you had a job, money, & your so called needs met ... and then the opposite conditions too ... when you were in dire need.
Thank you for sharing! It is all part of our journey, and everyone has a different story to tell. After all, we are spiritual beings on an earthly journey!

I want to hear your story. It is certain that the Lord never loses track of us, even when we are too busy to recognize his presence. We don't know each other, but I tell you today, that I feel joy in my heart for you. The Lord works in misterious ways; sometimes we have to be broken down to be put back together. Why? Because it is what will make us better leaders in the future. You have a beautiful story to share, and while I cannot guarantee that you will become "perfect" in the future, I can assure you that He already knows who you are. The Lord already knows that we are NOT perfect, and expects us to fail. The first step is always to allow forgiveness. You are part of His beautiful creation, and with that comes a pack of feelings that we have to deal with.
You have been blessed. He never gave up on you. I also have a story, but will share it with you when the time comes. Remember that nobody is able to recognize the light if they have not seen darkness. I am glad that today you have seen the light.

I do believe that God answers our prayers if we are sincere and we pray and talk to him. If you have an illness and you pray you will be healed, i experienced it myself. And God also provides for our needs, it happened a lot of times, when i ran out of money, something will happen and my needs are taken care of.

Your faith in God will bring you peace, happiness and prosperity. Do believe in God, He will definitely save you. I experienced the blessing of the God many times when I was in very very difficult situation and I was sure at that time only God can help me, not a single soul on the Earth because the situation and circumstances were such nobody had to capacity to rescue me from that situation and circumstances. I believed in God that he would definitely help me and would rescue me from the worst situation. It was mircle. I was rescued by Him. Ask him in full faith and He will definitely help you.

Praise God! That is a wonderful testimony.
I often think, I have failed YOU so many times, Lord, and You have never abandoned me. Isn't that just awesome? He loves us so much and we don't even deserve it. I sometimes can't comprehend the magnitude of His love.
Welcome to the family!

I've been attracted by your title. Me too had a great experience regarding with my friendship with the Lord. I'm a 3rd year drop-out student. That time, I became really disappointed with my life and became really depressed. I'm not that close to God before but still, He saved me from my miserable life. That's how I've realized that God loves us all no matter who we are and what we were doing with our lives. Your story is very inspiring, I hope more and more people in MyLot will also share the Word of God through their posts and articles. Until then, just keep posting more of your inspiring experiences.
God Bless & Have a pleasant journey in life

I am so happy for you! Let me say, Welcome Home!
No one promised that life would be easy, but with Christ, it's easier!
Jesus is the friend who walks in when everyone else has walked out. Thank God for a friend like that!
Congratulations! I'll keep you in my prayers!

Its good that you found your calling. I had heard a story long time back thqat a man was granted boon by god he asked god to walk with him all his life. God said yes, he will. The man said how will he come to know, God said in the sand of time he can see their footsteps whenever he will look back, man said okay. He often looked back and swa that at times there were only one pair of foot steps following him. He noticed that those were the times he wqas in trouble and facing a difficult period. He was very upset and called upon god to ask why so. and why god is not there with him. God simply smiled and tiold him top look again , then he noticed that thjose footmarks were of God and not him. he asked God where diod my streps go. God said that whenever you were going throught the bad patchj, I picked you up hence you never made any foot steps.
I often ask God to do the same.my Gid is not jesus but I think more than who you god is what matters is your faith and now you have found your faith, may you achieve the ultimate truth too.

Praise the Lord that you saw His faithfulness. Isn't Jesus more than wonderful! The enemies of God will mock you but you just stay close to the Lord and watch what wonderful things He will do in your life. Find a good Bible-believing church and read the Bible daily. It's spiritual food for your soul. (Also Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). I'm so glad you are in the family and someday I'll meet you in Heaven! When you face trials in the future, just remember what you've been through and how He brought you through it.

I'm happy to hear that you've become close to your God. But please don't lose faith in yourself either. God may help you, but you did these things for yourself. If you hadn't put effort in I guarantee you would still be in the same situation.

I believe that each one of us has a piece of God with us always. And this angelic presence--angels, spirit guides, whatever--is always available to help us, if we're open to it. I've seen enough evidence that I feel I can say I KNOW this. However, I do question whether God--whatever God is--knows me from an ant. (And She certainly has better things to do than talk to George W. Bush!)
