I'm due in just over 2 weeks and me being the procrastinator I am I still have not packed a bag for the hospital. What sort of things should I include in my packing? Besides the basics that is (clothing, toiletries, phone list, camera, etc). Thanks in advance!

Honestly most people overpack. I would bring a pillow because the hospital ones arn't comfy at all. Something to focus on during labor. Baby's picture/coming home outfit. Toothbrush/toothpaste. You dont need soap or shampoo because the hospital will give you some, but if you're picky than go ahead. You wont need diapers because they'll give you soo many you can bring some home. Slippers! You'll need those. Some pj's or else you'll be stuck in the hospital gown. Maybe some magazines and playing cards so you dont get bored. But really, the hospital takes care of pretty much everything else. Oh I almost forgot.. CAMERA!

I assume you are pregnant and that is what you are talking about? If that is the case then I would pack... Pacifier/Binky (for the baby, I hate the hospital ones.) Clothes/socks for you and the baby both because sometimes the hospital clothes for the baby isn't all that warm and it gets cold in a hospital. I always took a few sleepers for my kids when they were born. And maybe a nice warm baby blanket for the baby. (I know the hospital has baby blankets, but nothing is better then your own and I think the fleece blankets are much warmer.) The hospital pretty much sets you up with everything you need. I would also take some hand lotion, slippers for the feet, and maybe a few books or something to read.

Chapstick! My lips got so dry during labour. I also took slippers and a robe. The hospital I delivered in ran out of robes and I had to wear two gowns, one going each way. The slippers were a godsend as well, because those little footie things they give you are a joke. I also put my wedding band and other rings on a necklace and wore them while in the hospital. Since I had to have an IV both times (c-sections) my fingers were so swollen with extra fluid. My ring's didn't fit and it was rather painful to wear them and get them off my fingers! I hope everything goes well for you! Congratulations on the new baby!

For labor you may want things like tennis balls -for counter pressure against your back if you have back labor. Some light snacks for you and/or your support person, depending on the time of day the hospital caffeteria may be closed. You may want to bring your pillow from home, as hospital pillows are sometimes just not comfortable.
