Yes, i started to fall in love with it since i join my current company where i'm given a laptop. I was a PC user previosly.
Most people consider PC over laptop due to the specification. This was only true 5 years ago.
Today Laptop is just powerful enough to run most of the application available. Casual gaming is also possible as there are power enough integrated graphic card available like ATI to play games like wacraft (my favorite!!). You got no worries about your ability of the laptop as i online 24/7 whenever im at home and office. Besides, laptop is just so convinience to carry around. Oh ya, i like to online at Starbucks which provide free Wifi, and i like the environment there.
One should not consider a laptop only if you have tight budget, if you are a hardcore computer or gaming enthausist!!
Cheers.

I have one but I still prefer my desktop computer. I get upset with the laptop, sometimes the mouse jumps cause my sleeve brushes against the mouse pad thing, and during certain games and so on it's more then annoying! Sometimes it jumps to between something I'm writing so the end of the sentence can be between the entire document or even a dozen phrases out of place, and I don't always notice straight away and then have to sort it all out again. Then there's also the battery that doesn't last as long as I'd like but the versatility to plug it in anywhere is a plus though. In some ways the laptop is better but I like the desktop more. 80% for the desktop 20% for the laptop.

Regarding the problem of the cursor bouncing around - this is because your fingers (thumbs, actually) are making minute contact with the touchpad while you type.
I had the same problem when I first got my notebook, and I remember that there was some adjustment I could make to reduce the touchpad's sensitivity.

Right now I have my PC Pentium-4 and is working excellent. I am planning to buy a laptop or the notebook soon within a month or so, the main reason of my laptop buying is Our city is providing the WI-FI-network soon. So we would be connected to INTERNET WITHOUT ANY CABLE AND WIRE.
This will be just nice to move any where arround with the laptop and enjoy working onto net and mylot too.
All the best from oarnamav.

of course a desktop computer is sometimes more efficient that a laptop. I also preffer my laptop, but without a good battery it's a waste. And, besides that, when you're computer gets old, you start changing parts (or you could buy a new one, of course). Finding parts for laptops is very difficult, and they cost almost double then for desktops. So i agree with you, that laptops confer you mobility, but there's nothing compared to a desktop when you've got your own office, full-y equiped with printers, scanners and so on. Trust me, I've got both a laptop and a desktop.

hi there...
well i have never used a laptop in my life.
And i also am very fond of listening music.
I think it comforts me to hlisten songs by Large Pc speakers, i listen songs on PC because it also provides direct control to any other program while listening songs.

For me, they suit different purposes. I use my laptop at school and on the go. But at home, I almost always use my PC.
I can't look at the laptop screen as long. My PC's monitor is far nicer. But the laptop has been a lifesaver for taking notes in classes.

Yes, since i work for my current company which give me a laptop, i started to fall in love with it. If i were to leave this company, my next computer purchase will be a laptop!!
A lot of people not buying a laptop because it's not worth the money by comparing it to the specification of desktop.
This was true 5 years back. But now, the new laptops are just powerful enough to run most of the application available. Casual gaming is also possible as there are powerful intergrated graphic card available like ATI GC.
One shouldn't consider laptop only if you have tight budget (as the price is still higher if compared to PC with the same spec) or you are a computer/gaming hardcore enthausist.

Yeah, I love my laptop. It's so much more convenient than a desktop!I didn't have a desktop for a couple of years, and I just recently bought one. God, I had completely forgotten what a hassle they are! So many damn wires and parts to connect... With my laptop I only need to have one wire for the power, and that's not even necessary! lol.

I like my laptop. I have it for 7 months. It is good because it needs less place in my flat. I bought a quite cheap type, because I did not have too much money for it. SO it is not so fast, and it has not too big memory. But it is enough for me, Because I do not have any special work I should do with it.

hello freezingfev!. i dont really have a laptop yet and my mom is planning to buy me one but i dont think id choose it over the PC. i dont know.. maybe because this PC has been with me for quite some time now and the only reason i am sticking with it is because of its sentimental value. i have shared a lot with this computer and somehow things arent the same in any other pc.. loLs. thats how sentimental i am and my mother always tells me to get a hold of myself and you know.. accept the fact that things cannot always be the way they were..
