Avatar...another word I don't understand

Avatar is the figure that you use to represent yourself. It comes from a Hindu word that means incarnation, but around here, it is just that little picture at the left upper corner of your screen, and on your discussion.

An avatar is simply the little picture next to your post. It is what makes you an individual. I am glad you are enjoying it here. There really are a lot of people that can help out with almost anything. Mylot is a great place !

LOL. An avatar is used to express yourself is the way I understand it. I'm not really sure what it is for either, really. I asked that same question when i joined Mylot. They told me itis a piscture that we upload and it will be displayed by our name here at Mylot. Of course, I didn't have any pictures to upload, so I uploaded a sample picture that was stored in my computer. I hope to get more of my own pictures sooner or later and upload a better one here. I have never heard of an avatar until I joined Mylot. sorry I couldn't be of more help. I'm sure some of these members know all about it though. I'm also sure you will get the answer you are looking for too.

the avatar is the picture that represents you. it shows your unique identity and personality. you are the only one who have it unless there's someone who idolizes you so much and copies it he he XP

as I'm sure you have heard by now, it is the photo or drawing you place by your name. It is your icon. I'm surprised you hadn't come across that before since you have so many postings.
