How many other people out there dislike the use of "chat" abbreviations? I know I cannot stand them. It's hard to believe that people have that much to say that they have to abbreviate everything. Half the time I cannot even understand the crap. Most of the time if I am talking to some one online and they stary doing that I ask them to type normal or I don't talk to them again. I know it sounds petty but It is just the way I am. Another thing that bugs me is someone trying to type an accent. Its looks stupid. The only people who should be able to get away with it are established successful authors in my opinion.

I definitely agree. When I see a discussion that has chat language in it, I don't bother to read it at all. How did this ever become acceptable? Is it because young people think it is "cool," or something? It just looks lazy to me.
