"Count on me."
A friend is one who walks in when others walk out. Loyalty is an essential ingredient for true friendship; it is the emotional glue that bonds people. Those that are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there indicating "you can count on me."

I love this series of 3 words that you are sharing with us. All of them are so meaningful, but I decided to comment on this one because in the past few weeks it has been foremost in my thoughts.
I recently found that my friends of many. many years were indeed true friends whereas some people who claimed to be friends were strictly posing as friends when I needed some help. They told me I could could count on them but when it actually came down to the nitty-gritty, only my true friends were actually there to support me emotionally and physically. It really taught me an important lesson about friends since I had always been there for others and had just assumed that they would be there for me. There were some new friends that were also there for me, as well.
It was an important, life-altering lesson. It was a hard lesson but, at the same time, it showed me my true, true friends.

Yes. True friends are there when there are nothing left of us. They bring us up and make us whole again. My fingers on my right hand are still far more than whom I can call true friends...these kinds of people are endangered species now, i think.
