The main thing that annoys me about Myspace is when you get friend requests from people that really never intend on ever messaging you, commenting you or even wanting to know you! Is there some secret competition on there and whoever has the most friends wins? I don't know about you but when I request someone add me as a friend, I am genuine, how about you?

whats annoys me about myspace? right now, its the fact that someone found their way into my account and sent all these stupid bulletins out..the people who just request friends to be doing it..the people who trully think the famous people are REALLY friends of theirs..also, the people who make it their business to send you a message to have you leave them comments on their page and pics..but seem to forget you have a page too..I can't forget the people who take it personally when they are not on your top friends list..GROW UP!!

OMG I forgot the biggest one..what about the people who call themselves up and coming artists who send you a friend request only for you to listen to their music..and then flood your comment box with all these adverts about their shows..

I totally and completely understand your annoyance with that part of myspace, I get a bunch of those. I also hate those ones that send you a message and then delete they're profile, its so annoying. Or even the people that see clearly that your married or taken and they still flirt or try to escapade with you. Its ridiculous its not a dating website, get over yourself people.

I know what you mean, I've had some bad instances with a couple of guys, one in particular sent me messages every MINUTE, in the end I deleted him, only to curioulsy visit his page a couple of days later and seen that he changed, his job, income, everything! he even was admitting to be g*y...I hate liars!

I don't ask people to be my friends on myspace anymore. I have my group of friends that I want to talk to. However I have SO MANY bands that I have never heard of and they just spam my myspace with html codes about their bands and their songs and stuff. They never message me just a 'hi' or anything. This really annoys me. There is only 1 band that does write to me about once a month. I don't know them but I do talk to them. All the 'people' not bands on my friends list I talk to and have great convasations with.

I shut myspace account down for the very same reasons you are annoyed by the forum. Myspace can be a good place to network if it works for you, it didn't work for me. I got fed up with all the people who were pretending to be something that they weren't. Too many people trying to seek fame and attention that they wouldn't normally get it they were not on Myspace. Myspace is a place for pretentious people. Myspace is surreal not a real place to meet real people.

I was getting anywhere from 2 to 10 "spam" friend requests a day there for a while. I ended up setting my account to require my last name or email address in order to add me. I have not received a single "spam" friend request since. Yes, I hate all the crap bulletins too. I have a friend who sometimes posts 12-15 of those freaking surveys a day! I finally said something to her, lol, she hasn't been posting as many. I do like MySpace though because I have caught up with people I haven't seen since elementary school and never would have found them I don't think, if not for MySpace. So it seems to be working for me, in that respect. I have a lot of cousins as my friends also, so it is fun to see what they are up to and new pictures of their families because most of them live over an hour away from me.
