Who was the best and worst singer on American Idol?

Kelly Clarkson is awesome, but I might actually say Gina Glocksen is the best I've seen. The worst would have to be that John Stevens guy from a few years ago. He was so awful and lasted till like week six. It was horrible. He was definitely worse than Sanjaya, and that's saying something.

Daughtry, Kelly and Carry have selling point beside all those winners. The others are good, but not good enough to do the business.

For me personally I do believe that the best singer from American Idol would have to be "Chris Daughtry." I feel like he was one of the few that I actually ended up enjoying. I actually would tune in each week just to hear him sing. I can't say I would do that for any other people whom I had seen on American Idol over the years. I think he truly is a rather talented artist. And I am kind of glad he wasn't named the next 'American Idol.' As I do believe he is doing better on his own. I actually honestly do believe he is better than American Idol as well. I do not believe that Taylor Hicks should have won. For me he would have to be one of the worst. I just do feel he has the on stage presence. He does have a lot of energy & a great character to him, like every singer should have. But I do NOT feel he is at all talented quite honestly musically. I believe he actually lacks in that department for me. But that is just me & my humble opinion when it comes to the worst singers on American Idol. When I look at some of the people who had won 'American Idol.' I feel a large majority of the time that these people should not have won. In most cases I have felt quite often that others should have won instead of some who had been picked. It's quite sad that this happens. But when it comes to when I have watched American Idol. When I had really liked someone they never usually ended up winning in the long run. Instead it seemed like someone else would always end up winning for some reason. It's funny how that works. But I guess these people who I had thought deserved to win. Usually rose above American Idol. For example Chris Daughtry. I believe he should have won instead of Taylor Hicks. But I think he is doing a lot better compared to if he would have been the next American Idol. In conclusion.. The people whom I had listed above.. Would have to be the people whom I believe should have won.. And the people whom I do believe shouldn't have won.. I think sometimes the viewers pick these people for no good reason.. I believe in the past some people have picked these people to be the next American Idol.. For just rather silly reasons.. But that is just my opinion on this topic! . . I LOVE Taylor Hicks! He really feels the music he sings and I think he is a really good singer and an even better perromer. Kelly Clarkson has just had time to develop and become a better singer..yes, she is good and she's got some great songs out. Daughtry I love. Great music. I LOVE Carrie Underwood..i mainly listen to country, and she is doing well in that area. Sounds as though you only like the "pop rock" singers, which was what american idol was really supposed to be about in the first place, however it draws amazing singers from all different genres of music. One girl I will never forget was the "goth" style girl who sang "Phatom of the Opera" for her audition a few years back...she was absolutely amazing! Her voice was phenomonal, but not right for the competition. I think one of the worst was Fantasia. I didn't care for her voice at all, and apparently not too many others did either, she sold less than 500,000 copies of her album.

I'm an occasional tuner inner, but the worst to me has to be Sunjaya. I don't know if I spelled that right. His mediocre performances make me question how he was even selected to go to Hollywood! I think Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and that Latoya girl from last season were the best vocally. Chris Daughtry does have pipes, but his performances outdo his vocals in my opinion.
