I have sent the following requests /
suggestions to Mylot administarting staff .
Can you suggest more please ...

1) web site time and date :
Please show the website's time and date
at the top left corner . And user logged-in
time can be also shown
for e.g. time and date in a rectangular box

2) subscribing/watching a discussion
Any user should be able to subscribe to
any discussion . E-mail notification can
be sent for each new response/comment .
( unsubscribing option should also available )
3) Editing and Deleting own posts
A user after reaching certain number of
points should be able to edit/delete own
posts within a time period ( say half
an hour ) along with responses / comments
(if any)
4) private messages
A user after reaching certain number of
points should be able to send messages
to any other Mylot user . And also a
message can be sent to more than a single
user (not more than 6 users)
5) New Moderators to control spam
I request to appoint half a dozen new
moderators to control the spam and other
violations . This site can have a Junk
Yard so that deletions by new moderators
are stored in the Junk Yard until the
senior moderator takes decision on them .
( The Junk Yard is visible only to the administrating staff )

All your suggestions are truely good .. As you are an old user here on Mylot you really think a lot about what changes can be done really here :) .. for me I cannot think any suggestion at this point of time.. but I will be glad if my lot takes all your suggestions into effect :)

Very nice! I think you have some very good suggestions there and I do hope myLot will implement them - if not this week then the next wave of enhancements.
Your timing suggestion would be very useful for those keeping track of their earnings/rating and image upload limit. Subscription is EXCELLENT of course, and I would love for an email to be triggered if someone comments on my particular response. That would make keeping track of discussion so much more user-friendly.
I agree with your third suggestion of editing/deleting own posts too. As long as it is remarked somewhere that changes have been read (perhaps with the changes highlighted), editing should be allowed.
I am not so sure about the last two suggestions though. The post count is not the best judge of whether an user might spam. Perhaps an additional option might be provided such that a user can choose whether to accept message from non-friends too. I think it would be very helpful.
As for the last suggestion on new mods. I am terribly worried about power-hungry mods who will go on a mad cleaning spree when they are appointed. I surely don't want to see good discussions deleted so very "accidentally". :P
