how should I make a decision between "Baby-sitting" and "working"?

I become a mother in Jan.2007 and my maternity leave is coming to close.After my son's birth,my family undertook strong pressure of economy since my husband earned few just enough to paid for the daily expenditure. So I plan to go back to work that we can save money to prepare for son's education in advance. But physician recommend that breast-feeding should better be no less than one year.Of course I want to be a great mother,however I wonder one year later it would be very difficult to find a good position like my present's. How should I make a decision??
