Why is it so hard for some people to apologise?

There are just certain people out there in the world, that can't admit they were wrong, even if they were, and when they DO realize it, they buy gifts to make up for it, yet still say nothing.
why is this?
Is being perfect everything?

and, you know what, it is funny too, when they finally apologize too, my brother being the case. his way of apologizing, is just to spend alot of money on me, but it is sooo much cheaper just to say, "I am sorry! I made a mistake". I guess some people just need to make ALOT of money,
ROFL! I find apologizing much cheaper.

It's simply pride. Some people are so ignorant and selfish to themselves that they think nothing is wrong with them. It's also lack of maturity. When you get to the point when you can step on toes, and only point the fingers at everyone else. Then you live on the defense and you really have some issues that you need to resolve. Otherwise then that it will take something big like not having friends or even feeling lonely to bring you to the place to realize that right is right and wrong is wrong.
