I'm not brand conscious. I usually cannot afford to be. Now, when we talk about perfume, sometimes I think of the brands because I know they are bound to be of better quality. Oh, and I don't buy generic soda, does that count? : )

Yeah... I too cannot afford the luxuries.. However, you are right, about perfumes.. Those expensive ones tend to be of better quality and the scent tend to last longer without turning bad... I do have a weakness for those though... Well about soda, hahaha.... :D

Yes. Maybe 1 expensive bag every 1-2 years will be good enough for me. I like the quality/durability as well as the brand image it carries with it. I have a Gucci bag that I use it for almost everyday for the past 4 years and it is so worn out but I really like it that I refuse to throw it away. Personally, I prefer Gucci and LV only.

Thanks for the response. Yes, sometimes, once in a while we can spoil ourselves because these things last longer.....

Hi,syain1972.
If I have enough money,I believe I will buy brand items for myself. But I don't think I'm brand conscious.I have given a speech about "Brand" in my class, and I believe that brand names mean high-quality,trends and unqie clothes.Though they are expensive but I wonder if I can,I do buy brand items for myself.
But I don't think people have to pursuit brand items.Wearing clothes with non-famous brand is okay for me.What I care a lot is clothes itself but not a brand.I will never buy an item just for its famous brand name.

nope I'm not - I'm the kind who would rather buy cheaper bags that wear out faster and then have an excuse to change to maximise variety. I like variety. same for shoes. :)
there are many who earn very average incomes who really seem to have a separate budget totally set aside for branded goods. I really wonder how they do it! perhaps they really feel that it's worth it. but for teens, i think not good to have too much self-esteem linked to branded stuff.
