I never really understand the korean language nor i wasn't that familiar with their culture but i tried to watched some of their movies a few days before and i liked it. I think they are popular because of their very romantic love stories. Try to watch it. You'll probably fall inlove with it too. =)

I never actually been a fan of any series on national TV since It feels like as if I have missed the whole story if I happen to not watch an episode due to some other reason like when I have to go do something else. But I heard that Korean telenovelas are quite romantic and humorous, Sometimes I get to watch an episode when my friends drops by our house and we can have quite a laugh whenever the someone does something stupid on the series. Hehe, those can really be fun to watch if one has the time and interest that is.. :)

Well, it's been fun responding to your interesting discussions, this is my 10th consecutive response in your thread and/but there's something that has been bothering me.... I know this is not the right place to rant about this but even before I started posting in your discussions I've had a 7-star rating but now it dropped down to 5 and I don't know why, I've always posted replies not any lower than 4 lines and I believe/hope I haven't violated any rules or offended anyone (including you) in any of my compositions. I'm quite bothered by this consequence and I'm quite mindful of negative ratings so I just want to ask people to be more careful and lenient when giving out ratings. Thanks.. :)

I do watched some Korean Movies.. :) But sometimes I would want to watch the series because the story is longer and there a lot of things that would still happen in it. I've seen some romantic comedies and I do hope those pretty good ones have a sequel..

No! But I do watch Japanese Horror Movies like The Ring, The Grudge, etc. Just as long there's an English subtitles that translates the words that are coming out in the character's mouth. I really admire these Japanese Horror Movies because the ideas of the creators are really unique. The Ring even made into a Hollywood Movie with the same title.

I agree with you. In fact, their television series are very popular esp. when it was translated to the native tounge. It's not the story that captured the audiences attention, but the way there Korean movies/novelas have presented their culture and history. And the actors and actresses are very good not only in acting but in the way they portray the physical traits of the characters in the story. And there are a lot of lessons to learn from their stories.

I really like watching asian movies and dramas like korean, japanese and taiwanese. I'm really hooked watching them. And not only with the movies, I also like their music.
I've seen lots of korean movies, I love collecting korean movies as well as japanese movies...
I just like the concept of their movies, it's really touching and I can say that they have their originality that's why some country especially Philippines got the concept from this movies.

I never u/stand the language at all as well. I don't quite dig into the movies but I really love to watch Korean dramas. But there is 1 movie that I watch recently that I like. The 200 lb beauty. Have you watch it? Dramas are still a favourite. I am not sure but maybe I watch the wrong kind of movie as I never understood or even know what is the story plot. Dramas are much better for me. Try it!
