I've been here a few months and I have to admit I've seen that number on my page as to how many members they have jump up alot. That's a positive sign that there are alot of people interested in this site. There are so many different people, with many different cultures, beliefs, opinions, thoughts, etc..
I have been around long enough to see a couple enhancements, also this one that they have announced recently about big enhancements. All very positive signs for a positive future.
But as I said, with so many different people out here in this community have different thoughts and opinions about the future here.
I would like to hear yours, what do you think since you have been here? I know there are alot of people that have been here a very long time and have watched the enhancements as I am now being a part of. What are your thoughts seeing so far what you have seen? What conclusions you have to Mylot as to how this site will be, say a year from now? Such as enhancements, stopping cheaters, spammers, possibly changing guideline where they are more strict or even less strict, earnings or anything I didn't mention above.

No one knows for sure what the supposed enhancements are. I read that announcement/discussion and it just promises... and asks us to stay tuned.
I wouldn't want to get my hopes too high though as the more fanciful your wishes, the harder you will cry if they do not come true. :P
I always believe in under-promising and over-delivering. myLot has implied something really impressive.. so I certainly hope the enhancements are really impressive.
Bells and whistles are nice but people are not going to be excited with them for too long. What matters most is still our earnings. If people can somehow get more money, they will be ecstatic.
Another would be the server speed. I am sure many wants posting to be faster.
Yet another would be response from admins/mods. I am sure a reply to our messages to myLot is very much appreciated.
If they can make these 3 areas better, I think it would certainly be much cause for joy in the myLot community. ;-)

And I am glad I thought this way. I didn't get my hopes up too high and I am already disappointed by the changes.

Yes,as the mylot community is rapidly growing day by day, people willing to earn a bit as their part time but as I have been a mylot member a long period as looks like they have decreased their payment at large extent from before.
Before,I used to recieve 3$ to 4$ sitting on my computer for 5 to 8 hours a day but now when I sit nearly 5 hours they pay 1.5 to 2 dollars only.Maybe, this is because the mylot community has grown as now there is above 85,000 members here at mylot and they need to give payments to all and they would be earning less and paying more.
Talking about the future of Mylot, they should think about increasing their payment in the near future or most of the mylot member will leave this site and start finding other site. They should also improve their site background and looks so that mylot members are now able to be bored sitting on this site,Their website banner should also be improved. In this way can make their site more reputable.

Very good response. I agree, the earnings I know when I first started I got paid really good, now I hardly make 12 or 13 a month..lol But, hey I feel like I shouldn't complain because it is free money and it's not like we obligated to post. I guess that's why I don't get upset with the money deal.

well im not so sure. before i used to have also a very positive belief on the stability of this site, but forgive me, if they keep on doing what they do to some people (deduct earnings for no apparent reason), i think sooner or later this site will have problems about the loyalty of their users... I for one is a victim of such, i did quit for like 1 months, now, i dont even know why im here hehehe... probably a good sign also, but i dont use this site and probably wont visit this as often as before... i got rewarded 20$, i received the payment before, for that i was very grateful, but like what others say, maybe mylot admin should explain to the subscribers the reason for such deductions... thanks dude :)

Whenever I watch the first half of a movie ,I feel I know what is coming because the script has it's own limitations. While it can't leave the audience high and dry ,it can neither drop a predictable climax if it wants to be remembered as a success.
I have been here for merely a month ,but just like you I have seen the site expand. There are glitches and violations and after a couple of days things fall into place.Discussions dry out and people find it litte stale.New members join in and some of them inject new life into the discussions and we get started making new friends again. The whole process is an interesting repetition.
While old members are very important ,I think the lifeblood of Mylot is new members. As long as new members keep coming in ,e-commerce wise Mylot will be viable. If Mylot is in profit ,they will be rewarding their members which will snowball into new members coming in.So,it's a chain reaction and it will continue as long as Mylot will keep improving the site, which is a progressive process. The only way the site might fade away is if the violation and necessary enhancements are neglected. And this is just my opinion.

If the kind of enhancements they brought out today is anything to go by, the future seems anything but bleak.

Hello dear, well I've been here since 10 days and I've seen people working hard here, starting up many interesting discussions and things like that.
To imagine mylot after 10 years, well a decade is a big time and there will be so many changes by that time, we can't even think off that at the moment. Like a decade before a cell phone was not much in fashion where as now almost every individual has that.
So to just imagine I would say, there will be something more than discussions , that is for sure. Like forming some groups and responding together, or group discussions. To give a better solution to something, probably a verbal stuff may get introduced, which will end the whole typing stuff and you need to store your responses verbally. Quite a lot can change, time will tell.

I can already see that the enhancements are making utilizing the site much easier which means quicker postings and more money for us. Maybe this is how they hope we will earn more money. Since I'm fairly new, I'm curious to see how this site works out financially, but I enjoy posting, so it's not a chore for me at all.

Yes I feel MyLot has a very bright future. I feel sure they will be here one year from now. They have a very good handle on what is working and what is not. I once belonged to an awesome chat room it was the best the internet had to offer. It stayed around through the years when others were starting and failing. MyLot has the exact same kind of concept as that chat room. I think they will continue to be the parent company of all other paying forums. The only reason they would ever cease would be if someone bought them out and ruined their concept or if they no longer had members. I plan to support them as long as they are here and I will continue to get the word out so new memebers will join too.

I'll admit that I worry sometimes that this site is going to get really big and they will stop paying once people are 'hooked'. Or that they will sell, just like MySpace did, when they have enough members and a buyer that is interested. I hope not though!
I'm hoping the big 'change' they are about to announce is that the board will be getting some great upgrades like an EDIT button when you post and notice a typo or being able to search your messages in a more detailed way or your friends messages etc.
I also worry that they are going to create a "premium" type account like all these other paying sites have - where you have to start paying to have certain features or maybe to get more money. I'm not sure.
I'm trying not to think about it too much and just go with the flow day by day. Hopefully it's all good news!

I think it is good to have somewhere to say what is on your mind, without fear of criticism from ones you know personally- but I think they should definately pay more!
you have to do alot of typing and spend alot of time to get even 10.00....I think there should be more incentives and bonuses, etc...to do this.

I believe the site can have a pretty bright future IF the good folks at myLot (and its parent company) can find a way to balance the features members want with the features that makes the company profitable.
I would expect the announced upgrades around the corner to include enhancements of the "social networking" aspects of the site, going more towards the format of a MySpace, Orkut, etc. I just hope they don't "complexify" the user interface too much, since part of its appeal at the moment is in its relative simplicity. I'm hoping they'll institute a way to track photos we upload to categories, which currently are just "lost." I doubt overall earnings will change much, but I'm sure they are constantly adjusting the earnings algorithm to reward the sort of content THEY perceive will most help the site grow.
I am also hoping they will bring out improvements to minimize abuse... not just in terms of cheating and spamming, but in terms of limiting the negative effect of a group of users having a vendetta against another user for what they said in some discussion.

I'm not sure as is anyone else the future of myLot but I can say I have been in touch with some very interesting people. I find that even on the posts where I don't have anything to offer, example would be maybe someone on my friends list started a thread about a certain show I knew nothing about, which would be typical of me because I don't watch TV and I know nothing about movies, but I still read what everyone has to say about the movie and from that I decide my husband would like the show so I'd go rent it for him. The other thing is when I've had issues I've received personal messages and it means a lot to me, I've also been given e-mail addresses and that's a big plus. I hope this never happens but if myLot folded up this afternoon I'd have to say I have benefitted greatly from it and I certainly do enjoy it. Gives me a reason to look forward to firing up my computer!!!Thank You

Yeah i think the future of mylot is bright. As you have seen other networking programmes such as orkut,hi5,myspace. What a tremendous response they have got. They have got huge number of members. Mylot have also got a good response.
The memberbase of mylot is nearly 83,000 in few months of its launch. And mylot also pays the user for posting.
Mylot is improving. It has already annouced for big enhancement. Now just waiting to see what more mylot has got for us.

yes the members are definetly growing. I don't know it's possible, but I don't think it's going to get as big as Myspace unless more earnings are involved..my personal opinion..

I think mylot can become better if it changes its payment.though I am a member somedays, find my earn only $ 0.41,it's too little, make me think when I can gain $ 10,then they give me the check.this week,Mylot has said they'll update their system, maybe it's a good news!but to my surprise,I even don't know how mylot to earn money?do you know?It puzzled me.

Actually, I don't know either, some days I can make a dollar but that's on the weekends when I'm off, during the week it's pretty low. I know you can't make a living on Mylot, extra money yes...

Mylot have a very bright future. Since it's purpose is to help it's users. Unlike other communities, you won't earn anything. Good thing there is a website like this. But, I cannot see my earnings. Hmmm..I don't know how long can I stay here because I'm not yet familiar here. But I would like to stay for long if this is really easy money.

Hey there,Iam very new to the site but man must I say I found that you really get valued for what content you wrote!I am extremely pleased with the site.I am not aware what enhancements you had hinted but who won't mind an extra advantage? After all apart from satisfying our creative need we are here to make some money. As in India we say Diversity means Prosperity.Haven't you been enriched with your own understanding of life?Haven't you answered out of world questions? So man,I say go on with this site than use a chat site where you share your thoughts for no good.I am sure we will be motivated more to log on for hours together once more intellectuals come up.I do not mean to say bad but yeas was hurt when I saw no one has shared my concern for saving the planet earth from the menace of Plastic bags.It happens.I will take certain heavy things for stride if they are not answered but my opinion of the site members continue to be great

I'm not sure what the future hold for us here at Mylot, but I sure hope this huge announcement about improvements will be quite impressive. Personally I would love to see some new features put into place where users can actually edit their posts, that would be really nice. Also if they could up the earnings per post a little bit people would be very happy and it would more than likely start bringing even more people to this great site. Whatever they have for us I sure hope it's going to be good.
