Best opening pair in the WC

There is no doubt that adam gilchrist and matthew hayden are the best opening pairs in the current world cup. They play consistently well unlike our indian players who perform only to stay in the team rather than making the team win matches. They way gilchrist and hayden play their cricket, its worth watching.

if Gilly can be more consistent then Haydos & Gilly will become the perfect pair..but still they win hands down

By any means the Australian opening partnership is the best player in this World Cup and that has been proved in all the matches they have played. Most of the time they give the Australian team are very good start with a held the run rate. And the biggest advantage of these 20 thunders there is that when they get set the day is not for the bowlers. These two batsmen had the bowlers all over the ground which really demoralises the bowlers and it becomes very helpful for the later batsmen to come and blast away to get a good score or even the chain is a good total so I think they would be the best opening period in this World Cup.
