My kids love the outdoors. the weather has gotten nicer and already i dont see them until they are starving. And all summer they get out the as soon as they are done eating. But i know there are soem kids that would rather spend the summer in front of a television. What do your kids do? outside or inside, and what do you encourage? How much television do they watch daily even in the winter?

My kids play ou as much as I can get them too, we are lucky as we are near the beach so in summer they can spend the mornings there and the afternoons in the garden, even eating tea outside when possible.
In the winter, Bong (7) feels to cold so they play indoors or on the V-smile for an hour tops, they get to wreck their room and I get to tidy it, on nice days I take them too the beach where Roo (3) likes to lie in thesea choose how cold it is, even waterproofs are not Roo-proof, bless him.
At the moment they play out for an hour at teatime and Roo plays out if I'm in the garden in an afternoon.

My kids would live outside if I let them. They want to be outside from the moment they get home from school until I call them in for dinner and after they eat they are out again. Even in the winter they love to be outside. My kids rarely watch tv, they would rather watch movies and even then it's not very often. Most days they don't even turn the tv on.
I don't see many kids outside in our neighborhood even when the weather is nice. Kids just don't seem to be outside like they used to be when I was a kid.

My kids love the outside! They go out in the summer and winter, but more in the summer. My youngest will watch about 2 hours of tv in the evenings in the winter. Now that the weather is nicer, she probably gets one show in before bed. My older kids aren't big on watching tv~ they would rather be on the computer or watch movies. Again, they are much more active outside now that the weather is nice, so computer time has been cut tremendously.

My kids spend the majority of their days outside during the warmer months. They hotter parts of the day the are inside so that they don't get a heat stroke or anything.During that time we play games and do a few learning pages.
In the colder months its just the opposite. They spend a couple hours outside .Mainly they stay inside playing games, learning and watching tv.
I allow my children to watch television an hour and half total a day. That lets each of them to pick out a half hour show a piece.
