Given all the money you need, what business would you start?

I think if I could I'd start up a Gourmet Kitchen type of business, with tons of specialty food items and fun gadgets. I love cooking and would love to do something like that, along with offering special classes, etc. What would you do if you could start up a business, worry free about money?

When I was in high school a had a lot of ideas of starting businesses but know that I'm older and know somethings about administering a business I don't have any idea. LOL :(( If I think a little I have I idea. I'm a student in the second year with the specialization of electrotechnics and I could start a business with another 2-4 colleagues in this domain. I'm thinking about this and in my country are some programs that could help my started. I will see after I finish my studies. How knows maybe I will really start it. :D

How sweet. It is amazing how little it takes to create a good human being out of a small child.

Oh!! I think I'd start a Lodge with cabins on the Oregon Coast. This is a fairly new dream, but I think it would be so great to have off set cabins unquie themes with regular rooms in the lodge with a big old fireplace in the main lobby... Of course all rooms would have full ocean views.

i'd like to start up an Internet Cafe...tons of people are getting hooked into chatting and web browsing

That would be a good idea. I think the Internet Cafe idea sort of went to the wayside with everyone getting internet access so easily at home. I think if you found the right crowd and some ideas behind it, you could bring back a quick trend and perhaps make it last longer this time!

A small bookstore, without a doubt. Walking into bookstores honestly makes me drool. They're so exciting to me. To own one of my own would be amazing. I would love to have all those books at my fingertips, the ability to help people pick interesting reads, and recommend my favorites.

I would set up an after school art program - no charge for the students and we'd host work shops on all forms of art and the kids could pick and choose which they want to particpate in - eventually Id involve a scholarship program and a biannual art show.

What a wonderful and beautiful idea!!!! We actually are lucky enough to have something similar to this here in Erie, created and run by a group of nuns. It's called the Erie Art House and kids can go there to learn so many different things from art to dance to music. It's a wonderful way to bring out a creative side!

My town (or any town near here) does not have group home for the mentally challanged or chronically mentally ill. I would love to open a group home for these folks so that when their parents/caretakers die, they have somewhere to go besides an institution in another city.

My husband and I are great cooks. We make known dishes a 'tad' different than the way they're regularly prepared. We have a ton of secret ingredients. I would open a restaurant for him and a seperate one for me. Mine would be for all the dieters out there.

This is something I have been thinking about for a while now, as I have been unemployed for a while. My family and friends all tell me that I should be running a guest house. I seem to be good with people, love to cook and look after people, and enjoy having people around me. I would love to get a place with maybe 6 bedrooms, all done up nicely, with a large dining room and lounge area, and be able to cook lovely meals for my guests

I always wanted to build a school or a learning center for the homeless and street children... It's not a business, but given all the money I need? I'd rather that I invest them on our future... our CHILDREN. Peace!

Well, if i have all the money, I would start up several business: 1. Travel Agency-since i want to travel a lot and i have lots of friends who travel, 2. Restaurant or Food Chain, i will be making my own name just like mcdonald's. 3. I would put my own Insurance Brokerage because I'm a license life underwriter and i want to sell all kinds of insurance from different insurance companies, 4. I want to start a real estate brokerage or buy and sell of real estate because lands or properties always appreciate, 5. I will continue my father's business of exporting seafoods to other countries like japan.

Well your business is definitely in demand! Wouldn't it be so kewl to be able to start up a day care that has it all? It is so expensive that the average person can't really afford to do something truly "big" and "great" when it comes to daycare!

Hi! Well, I would love to start my own publishing company, but that's a bit out of my reach right now. A business I can afford to start right now would be a dating service. My hubby is worried about marketing, and I'll admit, I'm not the best at that! That's the main thing I'm worried about, marketing and getting people to the site! :-)

I think I would start a resort of some type, like a day spa with overnight options. Along with the standard spa fare I would offer classes on blending your own skincare products, Herbs, holistic health for those who are interested, hypnosis and other alternative practices. Our living space would be connected because I don't want to have to drive anywhere to work and it would be added security as we would always be on premises.

I would open a Big Rec center-- Exercise room with tons of equipment, rooms that teach classes- aerobics, cycling, a big pool for families. Rooms that only work with kids and activities-- Physical activities-- so that their parents can get a workout in.. Rooms that do family activities again physical activities-- A basketball court, indoor batting cages... That sort of thing- My town sure needs something like this- to get us active.. And I would make it very reasonable! The gym we have in my town is soooo expensive.

well hockeygal. when i have all the money i would never do business again. i wish i could start a beautiful place spread over 100 acres of land with all freshness and pleasent scenery around- for those old people who are betrayed and torchered by their own sons, daughters, daughter-in-laws sons-in-law etc so that they can live peacefully during their last lapse of life and close their eyes smiling. the place i am talking will have a small hutments sort for these people, emergency health care and timely food.
