Dog....womans best friend

I just came across this story on Yahoo! news this morning and to me this proofs it again.Dogs are our best friends.I don't know how the dog new what to do.....but the amazing thing is that he saved the womans life.Aparently this woman was choking on a piece of apple....when the dog jumped in and started to perform the Heimlich maneuver(or at least the doggie version of it).

I've heard so many storys of pets saving the lives of their owners and in some cases even putting their own lives at risk.
A lot of people tend to take their pets for granted....but you never know how big a hero your pet really is.....untill something like that happens.
Now that's what I call unconditional love.I just wish people could be more like that.

my b/f found out one day just how precious our german shepard is. I am a diabetic there are times my blood sugar runs high or to low. My dog Duke is able to sense when my sugar level has dropped to low . He will grab my hand to lead me to the kitchen. My b/f thought I was kidding about this one day so when Duke lead me to the kitchen I checked my sugar level. Duke was right I had dropped to a 38 without realizing it.
Dogs are more then pets and good company. They can be used as a life saving measurement. You just have to learn to lesten to their instincts as well as your own.

I do believe that dogs can save their owner lives. I like to watch the animal miracles series and it proves to me over and over again how lucky we are to have dogs as our friends. Yes, I said friends. However they do it dogs can sense when we are in danger and take over. How they know what to do in each different situation is beyond me. But they do know and procede to do it. Dogs give unconditional love and watch over us. Protecting us and keeping us safe. If people could be more like that, unconditional love, this world would be a whole lot better place to live. We all could take a lesson from our animal friends on that aspect.
