It is very rare that I get inspired to do someone a portrait in 3 hours max. Not to mention that I have work the following day, that alone is enough to tuck myself in bed and doze off. But I guess inspiration was on my side and it has a way of making my adrenalin rush to super human limits. Anyway, here's the portrait I made, and honestly I can say one of my favorites. Hope you can view it. :)

Really impressive! I can see why it's one of your favs. I just recently did 2 watercolor portraits of my cousin's kids -- Man! I'm either never going to do portraits of people under 16 again, or never going to use watercolors to do them, I haven't decided which. So, I'm particularly impressed. Did you take portraiture classes? You have a clarity to your work which eludes me -- at least where portraits are concerned. Any way to see more of your work?

Thank you :) I did not have formal schooling in portraits. i was fortunate enough to have worked with artists back in college who gave me practical tips.
I give you tips which by the way i think you already knew, but you just have to be reminded of again. Rule of thumb in portraits is you have to scale your photo to get the exact facial proportion and angle. When doing watercolors, start with lighter colors first before you apply darker tones. watercolors is one of the most flexible media. And you also need to be inspired and motivated :)
I have some of my works post at http://portraithouse.blogspot.com Feel free to browse :)
