Ok, Bob, firstly and to lighten up the discussion, could you please change the dates as I have a paid-up bus ticket for 17th and 21st April, which I'm looking forward to using. ha ha ha Secondly, I agree with your thoughts in principle but do you really think the British Public as a whole, have the grit to do this? Would you get maximum support on it, or are they going to bottle out because they can't get to the next filling station after BP before running out of petrol and getting stranded? Are they willing to settle for a little inconvenience, maybe even a little discomfort, for the sake of reducing the tax on petrol by 20p per gallon? Also, what about those with company cars, whose bosses dictate where and when they fill up? As I said, it could be effective, but can the British Public be bothered with it? Are they willing to boycott BP, as the big boy in petrol supply? I don't know. I hope some more people will join in this and maybe a voting system would give us a better overview of how much BP and the Government would feel the pinch, and whether the support would be sufficient to dent their business enough to make them panic into a reduction. It's like everything else really. A lot of people will agree it's a good idea, but how many will actually carry it through? I wish you luck with this but I found a lot of abstinence when I was fighting to save our last local pub, and the main village meeting place, from developers. I'll vote yeah, and let's see where this goes. Brightest Blessings.

The principle is good but with BP being a british company the government along with the armed forces will keep BP going for many years to come. The British people have no fight and will always be gullible to pay the £5 per gallon. The Americans seem to be the only protesters that would not stand paying more than thier £1.25 a gallon. It's about time that the British people stood up and stopped letting thier backbones slide into thier cabbage potato couches watching the real world go by. The fuel tanker drivers must have been paid off because since then the government has been rubbing salt into the wound by the rise after rise on petrol duty and any other tax they force us into. Have a nice day from Deeeky.
