Are there things that you do almost out of instict of some kind..Something that drives you to do it?
I have to wash my hands before and after doing almost anything, it seems..And i absolutely cannot stand a crocked picture on the wall. I'll risk breaking my neck just to reach it, where ever i may be, just to straighten it!
I hate it when people just 'stop by' to see you without calling first!..I have to at least have a 1/2 hr's warning beforehand so i can do a super-fast clean up/pick up job through the house..I always tell everyone i know to come over whenever you want, stop by and see me, but Please Please Call Me First! LOL..
I think i inherited this, as it seems to be getting worse with age. My mother is obsessive about almost everything. She mows the grass in the summer when i can't see where it has even grown enough from the last mowing to make a difference~
What are some of the things in your life that you are 'Driven' to do~?

I do not know whether this qualifies as obsessive, compulsive or picky behaviour, but have many quirks that are distinctly mine...here are just a few of them
I can't see footwear left overlapping or facing different directions. I have an irresistible urge to straighten them and keep the pair of them together, side by side.
Similarly, i can't see a doormat out of alignment with the tiles. I just have to align it.
I have to wish my ceiling fan good night everyday...and by extension I talk to just about everything including my fountain pen, my desk, chair, bike, pillow, the plant outside my house...it goes on...and of course, the moon.
I have a habit of playing with my hair. yes, that's what I was doing when this picture I have here was taken. I can't see a mirror for more than 30 second (max), I hate it when someone touches or pats my back...well it seems to be an endless list of personality quirks. Many I am sure will come to mind after I post. But here is a partial list for now.

I would say I am both. I was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder when I was six years old, and it was obvious even before then... but I am also a picky person who usually won't stop and accept something unless my own standards are met. I do not think obsessive-compulsive disorder is something to label someone who is merely "picky", however, because there is a lot more to it than that.
I am obsessive about my career for the most part, and pretty much any of my passions, any endeavor that I undertake, about how neat my room and house is, about what other people think, about my grades in school (when I was at school), about what I eat somewhat (but that's more pickiness), I have to have control over everything or else my whole world is just hell... if I get a stain on my clothes - even the tiniest little speck, I have to change right away... just anything that may affect someone's impression about what sort of a person you are, I am obsessive about it.

Hi sister:)
Being very tidy and clean, would not generally be considered as an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)unless:
1.Causing stress/distress to you.
2. Feels like unreasonable but out of your control.
3. Causing dysfunction in one or more of the following:social(e.g:upset husband from your delays),occupational (e.g:decreased performance at work or performance below expected at your level),personal (e.g: anxiety from frequent washing or waste of time).
If your are very neat and tidy and think that this is within "normal" behavior although you are exceeding what is considered "normal " for most of people around you, then we call it "Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder" (OCPD). OCPD can be looked at as probably a mild form of OCD and the main factor to diagnose it is absence of anxiety.( OCD person is anxious and maybe embarrassed about his behavior, but OCPD patient is happy with his life and neatness and might think he is right and others are wrong!)
I hope this has clarified things to you.
Take care:)
