I dont have dial-up or wireless. I have cable internet. It is fasterthan dial-up and it is also a more secure connection. If I ever have to go to dial-up I will only use earthlink. So far they have proven to be very good.

I have dial-up. I believe I remember you saying you do too? I hate the slow wait. i also have this AVG virus protection that pops up and I can not do anything while it runs a scan or something. It gets be frazzled.
I am looking to get something faster, but I am sort-of confused. I want what they have at the library where I use to use the Internet. but I heard it is cable and it is too high for me.

No I don't have dial up. Mine is cable. It is expensive but not much more than dial up was for me. Cause when I had dial up I had a separate phone line which cost me like $20 a month plus the AOL. So it really is about the same for the cable. I think I pay about $44 a month.

i'm currently using dial-up. so frustrating, at times, really, and i've longed so much to sign up to broadband or dsl, but it's just awfully expensive!

A dial up connection is far too slow these days once you have a broadband connection. Goung bak to dial up would be a set back but there are a lot of people that are on the internet with only a dial up connection.
Have a nice day from Deeeky.

cable!
And it is good, although I used to have 1mbps DSL + WiFi at home (now I'm a student away from home)
But, Cable is fine; I've seen though some people with insane speeds, like 13 mbps, always leaves me with bug eyes.

I have a share DSL connection with a neighbor. This is good to cut in the bill price, but the problem is when someone turn off his computer and I can't access to the internet.

i hv neither...rather i hv a broadband connection...
dial up is an outdated technology..and wireless connection could never support very high speeds like a wired connection...
