I really don't like them at all. I am so glad that I had started a while back here at Mylot and got used to the way things worked here. It looks too confusing to me now, to try to figure out. I think there is too much information there to look through. I think alot of new members will have a very hard time trying to figure it out also and learn how to navigate through Mylot.
Do any of you like the new setup at Mylot?
If so, what do you like the most?
Who doesn't like the new page setup and why?
All answers are greatly appreciated!

The problem with the changes is that they don't made any tutorials explaining how to use the new features they introduce. They probably think that everyone here knows to work with computer very well.
They should have setup a tutorial with all the new features and how to use them correctly.

As I am playing around with the new changes in myLot, I noticed that the FAQ's page has been updated. It has answered many of the questions that I have had in the past. It also explains some of the new features on here as well. I hope this helps. I love the new changes in myLot! This is a great site!

well i like the fact that today's top discussions are not on the front, i like how now you pick where u want to go, b 4 people just answered today's top discussions because right when they come to this site the just go directly to the topics on the front.

I totally agree. Cannot add the blog and have tried to several times. I want my old page back. I tinkered with my profile and it is awful now. Finally got my own weather however I already have weather on my desktop and don't need it here. They have other things that they should fix and not tinker with appearances. Probably permanent. yuck.

I agree also. I will probably never use the new features that were added. i really don't have time to go and check them all out. I looked at all of them butit was too much for me to take time and really look into right now. It may benefit all of us sooner or later but right now, the change didn't help me much.

I'm not fond of it. I don't see a purpose for most of it, except to keep us off from discussions and pay less. I hate the size of the our home page. Too big. I have no use for anything they did here. Getting around seems easy enough, except for the blog. I wasted an hour on it, and got nowhere.

Don't count on more money. I was making over $91. a month. Since they changed, I do more work, and average $25. a month now. We will not see more money, that I am sure of. And the changing, this is like the forth time they have done this, but the first with the blogs. I have tried for two days, it doesn't even work..
Thanks for being my friend, and thank you for best response.

You are very welcome. I don't think the earnings will change much either, but I try to keep some hope for all of us. I tried to change the weather thing to my local area, but it is stuck on the same thing.

I agree with you also. I don't see much purpose for it either for the majority of the Mylot members. I don't understand blogs at all. I know nothing about them. I was hoping for a great surprise in earnings being displayed instantly or more earnings or something like that. I will have to get used to that page when I visit it. Maybe Mylot will change the earnings thing too. They mention we now have a greater earning opportunity, but I sure don't know what that is or means unless theyare talking about the blogs.

I was very surprised when I logged on this afternoon and saw it. I need more time to get used to it and explore. So far it looks interesting. I will give it the benefit of the doubt for a few days.
There does seem to be so much more information available than before. I think I will like it alot.

It was a total shock to me also. i was very surprised. I will check into it more later. I'm signing offline for the day today. I'm sure it will all be okay once I get used to it. I was just hoping for something better. Maybe that will come soon also.

i liked the changes, but you have a point that probably new users might have a difficulty , but i think they too will become accoustmed, the only thing that i dislike is the loading time, which is more compared to when the pages were more simple.

I think they may adjust to it better than some of us users who have been here for a while. I am not very computer smart, so it is taking me a while to adjust and make changes that are avaiable to us. The loading time does seem to be a bit worse and I wish they would fix it to where the pages would load alot faster.

It just changed a while ago. When you log into the home page, it has a totally different setup. The site was down for a little while so they could do the upgrade. The page is now totally different. check it out. I'm glad you got rid of the head stuff.

It looks like Yahoo tome in a sense. I really haven't had time to go through all the stuff and customize it. Just wish they would raise the pay on here, instead of just changing the home page.

Hi stephcjh. I've only been here a month myself and was actually getting very comfortable with navigating the site, enough that I've been able to assist several new members with how to do things I had already explored. When I saw the new layout earlier today I had the same feeling of disappointment since everything looks so different. To me the timing couldn't have been worse, so I just logged back out.
I was a little panicked when I checked my profile page a little while later and saw all my hard work of making my profile page "just so" was gone. As I started seeing the new hotlinks, I was thinking that all those tips I had been passing along were now outdated & irrelevant. Talk about deflated! I had other things to do so I signed out again, disappointed that I would have to start all over again.
When I logged back in later, I saw the alert & was relieved to see that we would be able to make changes to the page. I must say I was relieved to see some of my stuff from the profile page had returned, even if it wasn't where I had put it. Just knowing that I would be able to make some changes was good enough for me. I was happy enough to log out again & get the rest of my chores for the day done.
When I logged in again a little bit ago, I realised even more changes were taking place as I started exploring the differences I was noticing. I have to tell you I just about freaked when I commented on another members photo & saw a (0) beside my name! I had to jump to the first discussion on the page to make sure all my 600+ posts hadn't been reset or something. Since I had never posted a comment onto another members photo before, I didn't realise that there were different counters. Talk about feeling like a newbie, LOL!
Anyway, as I was away from the site off and on today as the changes were being implemented, I kept telling myself that the changes should prove profitable for MyLot and therefore, hopefully, it's members. Naturally, I was formulating my own discussion about the likes & dislikes, compliments/complaints of the new changes. Talk about a hot topic!
Since I have only been here for a month, I am still learning anyway so I don't mind figuring out how to navigate the site a little differently. I know the more we explore the site, the more money MyLot can generate and share with it's members so I think the benefits will surely outweigh the minor inconvenience of learning our way around again.
I hope you don't mind, but I'm taking a copy of my response to start a new discussion of my own. It's the first time I've commented on the changes and I would like to make sure my friends also have a chance to hear my early views on the changes. I'm looking forward to having more discussions about this and how they feel about the changes they may have noticed too. :)

I know what you mean. It kinf of overwhelmed me when I first saw it. I'm sorry your profile got messed up. I hadn't done much on mine before. I'm also glad that you are able to change your profile back to the way you want it. I haven't ever commented on a members picture before. I have never seen a place to go do that. I'm sure once we all get adjusted to the changes, things will be fine here once again also. I don't mind you using your response for a discussion. Do whatever you feel is necessary for yourself.

Thank you for the tips. I'm still working on trying to figure some of it out. I will eventually get it or I will ask some members in the forum to help me with it.

I have only been around for a month, so I don't really know how mylot originally looked.
I do however, like what they have offered with this new look.
The fact that I have a space where I can put in a word about the book I had published and where interested people can find it is great. At least it is not like I am spamming, but feel like I am marketing my work with the vehicle Mylot has provided.
They do mention in their note, about allowing us to somehow earn more money, but I fail to see where that materializes.
Maybe someone could clear that up for me. We all got the same message.
I kind of like that they have my city's weather and temp. there for me as well.
At least it shows they are trying to improve, but still, there should be allowances made for us to earn more income in some fashion.

I also seen where they mentioned we could earn more. I guess they mean by blogging. I'm not sure either and I hope someone does clear this up for us.

Well, the new changes do not bother me much. I think those information provided, such as movies, sports, weather condition. It makes it convienient for us to scan other interesting items while in mylot. I think that's good, anyhow, mylot is trying to make its website looks more various. Even if they do not offer us new information, those space are vacant. So why not make use of it? I prefer those changes.
Hope you will be accustomed to soon. Best wishes.

Very true. I am getting used to the page. there is just some things on there that isn't very helpful to me but it is to alot of other members and that's great. I was just hoping for some of the other changes also that we asked for.

I started here in January and this is the second change to the page since the day I started here. It may be much better. Who knows. I just haven't got used to it yet.

I don't like this new feature of blogs, because I spend much to read it instead of responding to other members discussions. I think that the biggest change that everyone here will agree is the best is earning. As you all have noticed, myLot have increased our rating earnings, and now we can earn much more then we used to earn. I am working very hard these days to reach minimum payout soon as possible, and to earn more and more.

I don't understand blogs either. Mylot says we can earn from replying to the blogs but I have looked through alot of them and I find it hard to find some to respond to qith quality. I would rather answer the discussions here instead.

I agree with you also. We will all get used to it eventually. It was just a shocker to some of us at first who aren't very computer literate. I am having a hard time figuring alot of it out.

The first time I saw it I thought it was cool. There are things that I like but some don't really prove helpful.
Example, when I helped my friend sign-up I couldn't change her avatar and I tried to edit and customize her profile but I couldn't see the "change the avatar" feature now. So far, that's one thing I don't find helpful.
However, I like it that when I open myLot I see all the discussions right away unlike before where the first thing I see is the "top discussion" only and I have to explore the page before I see my own discussions.

Same here. I had to get help from some of my Mylot friends to figure some of it out so far. It is nice we can get help from each other on these things. I think it will be okay after a while also.
