Maxtor hard disc drives

What do you think about Maxtor hard discs. I read bad reviews about them. I thought they was pretty good but a lot of people are syaing they lost all their data storaged on them.

i've had better luck with western digital drives. a couple of my maxtors seized for no reason-one was only 2 months old.

I have about a 6 year old maxtor drive that I'm using now, and it has never given me any trouble.

I use Western Digital & Seagate, these are good hdd's. I have had 2 maxtor drives fail on me - Won't be rushing in again for another one.

Deppends, i have my 80Gb HDD Maxtor for almost 3 and a half years now and had no problem with it. Sure, i am reinstalling my OS every now and then but i keep things in a good shape, i'm careful with the things i'm downloading, i make a good use of System Mechanic application and things are keep running smothly.
