Question for Sepultura Fans

I really like the Brazilian death, thrash, and now groove metal band Sepultura, and I've been a fan for a while, but I'm not sure on the pronunciation. Is the stress on the 2nd syllable, or the 3rd?

its pronounced "Se-PULL-two-ra". I love this band when the Cavalera Brothers are still together.

Thanks. Yeah, I liked Max Cavalera a lot, too. His stuff in Soulfly is pretty cool, but not like Sepultura. I don't even really like them since he left, though. I recently read that the Cavalera brothers are getting back together though. I can't remember what the magazine was called, but I read it last week at the grocery store, lol.

Heya B This is a little late ;), but the word Sepultura is actually spanish for "grave" In keeping with spanish pronunciation (and the only way I've ever heard it pronounced), the emphasis should be on the third syllable - seh-pul-TOO-rah Hope this helped :)

Yes I knew about nailbomb when it first came out. Good sh*t. Nothing has the magic of sepultura, but most everything else max has done is really good. There is a lot of bad blood between them and andreas kisser though. Andreas does not want a reunion until things get better, so it might be a while but I think it will happen. I F*cking hope it will! I never got to see them back in the day. Anyways if you want the accent it would be Se Pull TOO ra. But if you don't feel the need for the accent it's just se pull turr a. It's hard to type it out, easier if you heard someone say it lol.
