Do you believe in ghosts?

Don't laugh, but I am a ghost hunter. I actually go out, research haunted locations through the internet and libraries and then I physically go to the location to check it out. I have been doing this in a few different states now and find it very fascinating. It has a lot of history involved, which I love and it appeals to my sense of adventure. So I have to ask, for research purposes, do you believe in ghosts or some form of an afterlife?

Oh you bet I do LOL Like you, I am a ghost hunter. My husband and I both like to investigate the paranormal. We go to various sites that we have permission to visit. We just love the Civil War sites the most. They seem to have the the most usual feelings. I also do a lot of paranomral photography. Nice to meet a fellow hunter.

It is wonderful to meet another ghost hunter. :) What state do you hunt in mostly? I ended up getting my husband hooked on it, too. We started investing some small amounts of money into digital voice recorders and such. I have my degree in history anyway, so this is the perfect hobby for me! I loved the Civil War era, but in Texas, there aren't much in that. Lots of cowboys and indians and outlaws, though! :) What sites have you been to? I would love to see pictures sometimes.

I haven't been to Gettysburg yet but I have heard many many stories about it. I would love to get there sometime soon. My favorite haunted place is the beautiful city of St Augustine. I'm from Florida, so it was close to me anyway, but it's wonderful. So many old stories, so much history. Just amazing.

First of all I think it's really cool that you are a ghost hunter. My daugher and I always watch those shows on TV about the haunted hotels and houses. I absolutely believe in spirits and I have a friend who is a medium. She tells me my dad, who is deceased, is around me and my kids all the time. He has turned on the TV and the DVD player several times and sometimes walks up and down the stairs in my hours in the wee hours of the morning.

Thank you. I'm flattered. Most people I tell my hobby to actually laugh at me. So it's rather refreshing to hear someone think it's cool! The shows on tv are wonderful and I strive one day to have my very own! Or at least my own book at some point!
Thank you for the share also. I have a friend in Florida who is also a medium and she down right freaks me out at times, and that's hard to do.
It sounds to me like your dad is just trying to let everyone know that he's there and is watching out for you! I would love to know if anything else happens! Thank you again.
