We eat a lot of pasta, but I'm getting bored with the same old spagetti sauce. I'm looking for lots of new, different yummy recipes for pasta sauce. Preferably homemade recipes that aren't too difficult or time consuming to prepare myself. So share your favourite pasta sauces please!

A lot of times I won't use an actual sauce. Instead, I sautee onions, garlic, baby tomatoes, and fresh spinach and toss it with the pasta. I usually throw in some pine nuts if I have them. Delish!

That sounds like something I'd like (my husband has a sort of dairy allergy and the last time he had alfredo sauce it didn't sit too well, so no milk sauces for him). I bet it's really good with sliced mushrooms and cheese! Thanks!

How about Vodka sauce. That's my favorite. You could also put a piece of green bell pepper in your sauce when cooking it. The pepper gives the sauce a really good flavor if you like the taste of green pepper.

Are you an adventerous eater? If so, below is my FAVORTIE pasta sauce. A fun note: Puttanesca is an Italian workd for an...um lady of the evening. One of the myths about this scause is that it's so quick to make, that the ladies could make it betwenn...job...and then eat it afterward :-) not sure if that's true of not, but it's a good story and a good sauce! Hope you like it. Puttanesca Sauce INGREDIENTS: 2/3 cup pitted black olives, sliced 4 boned anchovy fillets 2 cloves of garlic 3 tablespoons olive oil or butter 1 tablespoon capers Three or four ripe plum tomatoes, finely sliced Salt and pepper to taste A pound of spaghetti PREPARATION: Chop the garlic and sauté it in the oil with the anchovies, stirring the mixture about to break up the anchovies (they will disolve away and you won't even know they are there). When the garlic’s lightly browned, add the olives, capers, and tomatoes. Check seasoning. Simmer the sauce for fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook the pasta. Stir the sauce into the pasta and serve.

I don't think my picky husband would eat olives or anchovies, but it does look adventurous and interesting...
