I am trying to do just that. I am hoping that I can tell my boss to stick it. I have worked for the same company for 2 yrs (over a yr in management) and it's not worth it anymore to put up with the BS.

Do it! To quit my job is the best decition I've made in a long time. Now I'm free to find myself a job that I can enjoy. I really hope it works out for you. Good luck!

sounds great! Good luck with that. I would really love to work as a freelance illustrator. Most of all I would love to write and illustrate books for children.

I started up a business in april of this year making soy candles at home with my kids. I am working on getting it off the ground. Trying to get into a home based biz so I can quit and still pay the morgage.

When you think of the amount of time you spend at work, it is a must to have something you enjoy. I have quit a job before because I hated it. It was in a sewing factory, great pay great benifits, but I couldn't stand it.

Yes, that's what I say too - you have to be able to enjoy working or it will all be such a waste. Thank you for replying.

Definately. I did quit a job that paid well. The owners worked everyone to the bone and asked for way more than anyone who wanted to have a home life could produce.

I would without a doubt. Just because it pays good money, doesn't make it worth sticking around. People spend so much of their lives on the job that they should be doing something that they enjoy, even if the money isn't fantastic.

I would quit a job if I hated it but it paid well. It's not worth being miserable everyday for money. Like you said money isn't everything...Happiness is more important.

cigratte - smoking
To be good with myself and if I donĀ“t think in anything else of course. Work takes a lot of time in life so I got try to be almost the time happy. But also money is important, and when we have a wife and kid, we think twice. My dream is work for me, maybe sometime.
