Why is it people are not contented??

Like for example....they are longing for a thing and when they get it..and they are longing for another again...Why is it???

I think it is human's nature,but from another aspect,it is that makes people won't satisfy what they have achieved and propel them go ahead,thus our society gets continuesly development.So when referring to the cause,maybe in the long run,it is for our own development.

That's the way people are, they always sought for something to make them happy.. But after they acquired that thing, it wouldn't matter if it would be significantly important to them as long as they have it.. :) They never tend to think the being contented is one thing needed for us to say that we are not afraid to die actually.. :)

i think this is a natural phenomenon for person to keep longing for more and more. to some extent today's society also motivates the person to do more as you are regarded in the society by the amount you achieve or your status so to held his head high one has to thrive on more and more opportunities. but this is also good for people as this desire and longing encourage people to invent new things which benefit the society only.
