Do you Blog?

Blogging is a genre. Many people I know have blogs about one topic or another. They always update their blogs.
I have a few blogs too. Three of them are some saying which I wrote, based on the pictures I uploaded that day. Another is more of spiritual insight.
So, what about you? Before you start writing a book, isn't it good to try your writing skills by blogging?
You can choose any themes and can have as many blogs as you like. Anyone can read them! Bloggers are also serious and dedicated writers. They don't have to rush to finish their work..... blogging is an evergoing job!

I forgot to say that my blog is about my being a working mom, the different things I do to earn, both online and offline. This also includes my review of some online opportunities. :)

I do have a blog for my poems. I figured it would be a good way to get opinions of them. I am working on a book, but as yet I don't have enough poems. I have written over 80 but I haven't put them all on the blog. Do people retain their copyright if they put there work on a blog?

Nice blog! I've checked it out. But, I can't seem to get to more of your poems.....
Yes, you do retain your own copyright if you put your work in a blog.
These day, wherever you put your work in, others will get to it, before you can say 'help'!

I actually have one, but I haven't updated it in a long time. It is a blog of the last painting I did. I actually finished the painting a few weeks ago, but haven't put the final blog entry in it yet.

You are right, feris. I have always liked to write. So i guess blogging could be a pre-step to doing that professionally. But i like blog writing better, because you can do it more casually.

I want to start my own blog,but i lack a proper place,where to put it and i also think i write better poetry rather than a blog but certainly can write a blog about the poetry skills.

You can even put your poetries in a blog. No problem, I used to do that.

Nope. I'm not actually 100% sure what is it, somethign like an online diary maybe? Well anyway i don't think i have the time/commitment for starting oen to be honest. I see them as just a trend right now and i don't fancy jumping on the proverbial bandwagon. Plus, i wouldn't want Joe Public knowing what was in it, so it wouldnt be worth doing one as i'd never be able to have anything worth writing down in it, if that makes sense!

I do blog, though when blogs first came out I never imagined I would ever write a blog. I've written a novel, short stories, articles, blah, blah, blah. I was afraid of writing a blog because it is so public. But I'm finding it a rewarding experience. I like the instant feedback. When someone tells me I'm a good writer, that makes my day.
