I just discovered fennel seed and have been putting it in yogurt to help aid in digestion. I've also heard it's good for the lungs. How about you? Have you used fennel seed for anything? Feel free to post recipes as I am interested in learning more about using this.

I have heard that it is good for bad breath, too. I have never made any curries and I have heard people talk about them. Do you have any low-sodium curry recipes? I also don't think I've had biryani, either. Thanks!

I haven't heard that it's good for digestion.. in fact there's something called diverticulitis where things like seeds get lodged in the crevices of your intestines and can cause a lot of inflammation.

I can understand that. But, if you use the ground up seeds, would that happen? What I use is like a fine powder. Also, you can get it in a tea form that is also good for your stomach.

Oh, I guess that's okay then. The only kind I've seen are the whole seeds.

I have used it in spaghetti sauces and soups as it lends a bit of licorish/sausage like flavoring to the broths.

I have heard it being used in spaghetti sauces, but I haven't tried it yet. It does have that slight licorice flavor that I kinda like.
