Who among you are having problems with their sony vaio laptop?

I bought mine for $1,899 and i expected it to last very long... but after only three years, it started acting very weird. The sony service center is of no help at all... who else are having problems with their sony vaio laptop?

I'm so sorry to hear about your Sony Laptop.. Do you think it was caused by hardware or software (virus)?
I have a three year old ACER bought only $900 that time, and up to now it is still okay.
Now I purchased my first Macbook for $1,650 and i hope it will last more than three years..

Well, based on my research... that is the flaw of all Sony Vaio laptops... they start going bad after three years... up until now mine is just kept inside the closet... i am waiting for my friend to arrive from abroad so that he can fix it... right now i am usin and acer laptop which is very very cheap... but the performance is qute good...

Well, i should have done that... but it is now too late... since a mac notebook is not that available in my country... maybe when i go abroad again... thanks for the response... welcome to mylot... and i hope you enjoy your stay here...
