Do the number of Best Responses and Positive Ratings you received count towards your earnings in myLot ? Is a Star 10 paid a higher rate than a Star 1 ? Which is more important for earning more : Best Responses, Postive Ratings, or Star Ratings ?

well i do not see any of thoe things as really important the most important thing i am here for is quality discussions and luckily i discover more and more people that do start them but if i had to choose i would have said that rating is most important and that is because a person has taken his time and read your topic responding to it with his thaughts so it very important for me to give him a "+" it also makes a difference in his earnings yes. about the star we the myloters decide by our ratings. best responses you get also effect the earning but then again it effects more the feeling of that person that is flattered that his response has been a very touching and quality response for me:)

You know, I just found that rating really does help increase your earnings. I only made about 30 responses yesterday, but I rated about 50 people and it showed in my earnings today.

Thanks for sharing with us your experiences. I think it does make a difference to our earnings whether we received the ratings and/or we rate other people's responses.

Yes, if you get an answer marked as a best response, you will be paid slightly better - no one knows how much more though I don't think it is that significant. :P The positive ratings you receive will raise your own rating. A star 10 will quite likely be paid better than a star 1. All are important - be it best response, positive rating, or your own star rating. ;-)

Thanks for your input, my friend. I agree with what you said here. But are all the factors equally important ?

I think that best responses add to the amount you earn. Also, resolving your discussions also help you to earn more. I'm not sure if positive ratings help with your earnings, though. My star rating went down, but my earnings went up. I think it's best to work on quality responses more than anything else to earn more.

I think you are justified in saying that because you had higher earnings. No dispute about the quality responses.

i do not understand it properly. But I guess for BR mylot pays more. But nowadys the income is so small that it is really difficult to understnd how it is calculated.

I always wondered why the reason mylot categorized some as 10 while others like me got only an 8. I do not have that much time to spend on Mylot and I certainly do not give the " don't offend anyone" answers. I find there are few discussions I start but I do not make up discussions to get answers. Most of what I ask, I wanted to ask, but never got a chance to, because I was apprehensive of asking in front of my friends. People who have never been through the situation cannot understand nor can some to whom something comes easy. With myLot, since most have nicknames, you don't have to worry about someone meeting you on the street, and saying, "aha!" Anyway I hope it's the positive raties. The best response? Well I will not say, "you are right" to a response when they are wrong, so I probably don't get many of those.

For me, I wouldn't worry about your star ranking unless it gets lower than a 5. I have been as high as a 10 and have now dropped to a 9. My earnings seemed to have gone up, or at least, not had a noticeable drop. Some people will say that their earnings go up with a better star rating, I don't know for sure. I've always been either a 9 or a ten, which isn't much difference.

I think if you post quality discussion topics, you shouldn't worry and be apprehensive. Even if we do not agree with someone's response, I think we can still rate him/her with a "+" provided the response is insightful and relevant to the discussion.
