Bloggers Please Help?

As I am the type that loves to write and relate my lifes stories etc I am very interested in starting a blog. I'm looking for advice from other bloggers here. What are a few good sites that will host my blog for free? Are there any good sites that pay decent for a blog? Is there a limit as to the contents of the blogs? Is there a limit as to how often I could blog? As you can tell I'm blog illiterate right now. So any and all responses/help will be greatly appreciated. But please no links to blog sites as a referral. It's just how I am. I don't have any here and won't ask for any either. Thanks in advance also.

Grandpa I have 2 blogs currently. I have one with http://Wordpress.com and one with http://Blogger.com.
I will tell you however, that in oder to join http://payperpost.com or http://Blogsvertise.com which is the same kind of thing, your blog needs to be at least a month old and you need to make sure you update it regularly.
If you're going to do something like PayPerPost or Blogsertise too, you may want to consider opening a Blogspot blog, because Wordpress don't like people doing PayperPost things on their hosted blogs. it's against their terms of service and if they fidn out, they have the right to delete your blog within 10 minutes.

Hello grandpa, I'm fairly new to blogging too. But try to check out blogspot.com. It has a web templates ready for you. You can check which one you like and start posting your blog right away. Its pretty easy to use and follow. Hope this info helps. Happy posting, grandpa.

Hi Bob. while it doesn't pay I use Yahoo 360, but it works for me i have always kept a journal, and I just continue to do so on my blog, you have the choice as to weather it is public, for your friends or just you. No one has visited mine and I have no problem with that as it is just my wanderings about my dementia and how it is affecting me. but it is another option for you to consider. Regards Robin

I dont know what you are looking for as far as a blog site. I know there is a blog site called blogspot.com or something like that.
However I use my main blog on http://www.livejournal.com name is monkeywriter like here.
I also blog on myspace.com http://www.myspace.com/monkeywriter
Thats just me though... I love blogging its addicting. But I dont think its that ready to be shown to the world :))

I use blogspot and really like it. One thing you will want to do is to join a traffic site that increases your traffic to your blog. These are free for the most part. Blogcharm is one that i know of that pays. I don't know how it works though so you will have to check out there website.
